Good to see your blog. It's one of the first steps taken to raise awareness about your oranization and its concerns.

If you'd like to continue using internet to reach your audience, I strongly recommend this book: The New Rules of Marketing & PR, by David Scott. It's more from a business buy-and-sell perspective, but I've found it very helpful for NGOs, too.

Poverty is the shortage of common things such as food, clothing, shelter and safe drinking water, all of which determine the quality of life. It may also include the lack of access to opportunities such as education and employment which aid the escape from poverty and/or allow one to enjoy the respect of fellow citizens.

    Thanks

Dealing with economic aspects of poverty requires a much larger and well-rounded strategy of many kinds of livelihood support, skill development on a public goods model, free access to information and a basic enabling public infrastructure available to all. On the other hand, poverty entails more than the lack of income and productive resources to ensure sustainable livelihoods.

At this point I could tell that Kaleema was fairly bursting to share a few “home truths” as we say in the vernacular, but she restrained herself as well. He went on to say, “The real racism is in the Middle East. That’s where racism is really happening.” We just looked on neutrally and vaguely murmured at this last bit saying something benign like, “Yes, the situation there is certainly tough.”

So yes, we both missed the moment of potential deeper sharing and the possibility of deepened mutual understanding to be sure, and for rather base reasons of wanting to get out and find food, but I really wonder what we could have said to turn his mind or at least provoke him to open his eyes a bit more.

So my friend and roommate (for the last couple of days) Kaleema and I went into a café as I was swooning from not having eaten all day. So as we made our purchases the shop proprietor asked us about the conference. We shared a bit, but mostly I just concentrated on staying upright. Then he says, “Me, I don’t really think racism is that bad here or in America.” Now this was one of those times where, though it was a potential teaching moment, all I could think was where I was going to get my next meal and how soon I could get there. The café was only my juice place.

A husband and his wife who have been married 20 years were doing some yard work. The man was working hard cleaning the BBQ grill while his wife was bending over, weeding flowers from the flower bed.

So the man says to his wife “Your rear end is almost as wide as this grill!” She ignores the remark.

Later that night while in bed, her husband starts to feel frisky. The wife calmly responds, “If you think I'm gonna fire up the grill for one little wiener, you are sadly mistaken.”

Signs Your Partner is Addicted to Internet Porn

    - During foreplay, he's always double-clicking your G-spot.

    - His new computer includes a DVD-ROM drive, a 56k modem, and a tissue dispenser.

    - When she wants you to take off your pants, she says, “Scroll down.”

    - Tells everyone he's a pioneer in “palm computing.”

    - He's suing Playboy.com for repetitive stress injuries.

    - Her favorite actor? Tommy Lee.

    - When he sees a hot babe, he wryly says, “Boy, I'd like to click on her.”

    - You look deep into his eyes and see a faint image of Asia Carrera burned into his corneas.

    - As you undress, he takes out his credit card and tells you his birthday.

    - During sex, he shouts, “Refresh! Refresh!”

    - His version of foreplay: You lie naked on the bed with a sheet covering you… he pulls it down slowly for ten minutes.

    Thanks

A husband and his wife who have been married 20 years were doing some yard work. The man was working hard cleaning the BBQ grill while his wife was bending over, weeding flowers from the flower bed.

So the man says to his wife “Your rear end is almost as wide as this grill!” She ignores the remark.

Later that night while in bed, her husband starts to feel frisky. The wife calmly responds, “If you think I'm gonna fire up the grill for one little wiener, you are sadly mistaken.”

There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That’s a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. I don’t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game.

Yes Poverty is such a sad thins. A life of poverty means that basic needs go unfulfilled, and fundamental human rights are violated.More than 1 billion people live in poverty around the world, and a great majority of them are women. Women's poverty results in widespread violations of their human rights. When a woman faces a lack of access to adequate housing, food, or health care, her human rights are violated. When she lives in an unsafe and unhealthy environment or lacks access to clean water, she is not enjoying her fundamental human rights to a life of dignity and to an adequate standard of living.

absolutely poverty is a horrible situation that has gotten worse around the world with our global recession. To blame it on capitalism though I think is a far stretch. There are countries that don't head the capitalism model that are knee deep in poverty. Throwing money at a situation doesn't always make it better. Many times it simply perpetuates the problem

It's nice to know there are a lot of campaign and charitable works must try to resolve this .. I hope the government wakes up with his long sleep and solve this problem .. I am happy to address this issue.

He went on to say, “The real racism is in the Middle East. That’s where racism is really happening.” We just looked on neutrally and vaguely murmured at this last bit saying something benign like, “Yes, the situation there is certainly tough.”
